Hello.

I’m a journalist, ghostwriter, author and editor, with a comprehensive all-corners A-Z of writing skillset, which means when you work with me, nothing will come up I haven’t met before. I’m prolific, diligent, always going the extra mile for the very best word that says the very exact thing needing to be said and I’m obsessed with accuracy and precise sentences that sing off the page (screen).

My work is all about celebrating what interests me at different stages of life - a career driver that I got comfortable with after reading filmmaker/ writer/ producer/ hotelier/ wine grower/ pasta sauce maker Francis Ford Coppola call it “a simple case of following one’s passions” - which explains spending my twenties in music journalism hanging out with Keith Richards, Lou Reed, Elliott Smith, Ronnie Wood and Cat Power and writing music history books and biographies, my late twenties as a non-fiction book critic for The Daily Telegraph while getting immersed in the movie business interviewing the likes of Roman Polanski, James Mangold, Julian Schnabel, Harmony Korine and Darren Aronofsky and writing biographies of actors, my early thirties writing an addiction memoir called A Head Full of Blue and reporting on health and specifically mental health as an award winning columnist for The Guardian, on alternative medicine and wellness for The Observer and on Middle East politics for The Guardian and Israeli-Palestinian contemporary dance, film and music for The Jewish Chronicle, before stepping into a decade as an English Department faculty professor in BA/ MA Creative Writing at University of Westminster mentoring more than 500 aspiring young writers as well as serving as a visiting lecturer on BA/ MA Journalism courses at four further London universities, before leaving academia to write copy for health clients ranging from Walgreens-Boots Alliance to wellbeing startups to yoga studios, write on personal finance for The Financial Times (inspired by my own successful trading of Argentinian debt cycles) and then once more reporting on health, medicine and wellbeing, as a ghostwriter for health books by high ranking UK/ US medical professionals published by publishing houses such as Simon & Schuster, Bloomsbury, Watkins, Mayo Clinic Press and Penguin Random House and as a specialised writer covering child and adolescent health and in particular mental health at the world’s no.1 ranked medical organisation, Mayo Clinic.

I live in London with my partner, daughter and our dog and humbly claim 30 years of sobriety. I like jogging early mornings in Kensington Gardens regardless of the weather, the scent of jasmine anywhere and have been meditatively making pizza from scratch for 25 years, the magic is no two pizzas are ever the same. My fantasy dinner party table would feature Hofesh Shechter, Lee Yoo Joo, Jonathan van Ness, Atul Gawande, Harmony Korine, Chen Zhe, Francis Ford Coppola and Thich Nhat Hanh and the food would be cooked by Ely Tran, Celine Pham or Pamela Yung.

Whether you’re looking to commission a smart, original article (written or ghostwritten), are seeking a ghostwriter for a nonfiction book you have a napkin sketch for or have a manuscript, text or copy that needs editing, you’re in the right place.
